Colorado's Haley Showalter, a 2014 World Juniors qualifier in the hammer throw, opened her season with a U.S. #1 performance of 53 feet, 10.5 inches in the weight throw to finish runner-up against collegiate competition at the Air Force Holiday Open on December 12.
