Taking a page from the playbooks of larger schools, many smaller schools also gave some varsity regulars some rest this weekend. Many, perhaps, but certainly not all.
There wasn't a lot of small-school representation at this meet, but what they lacked in quantity they made up for in quality. Ben Butler's 15:50 took the win. SkyView Academy's fifth and Jefferson Academy's sixth topped the small school team placings among the boys.
Cassie Unruh at 21:17 led small school girls placers. And, once again, SkyView Academy edged Jefferson Academy by a single place in the team scoring. Charter schools were evidently sticking together at this meet.
