The Katie Caples Invitational is always one of the most competitive early season meets, and this year was no different. On a soft and slow course, runners from all over Florida, and parts of Georgia took to the course for a battle by the river. We saw some fast times, and some shocking upsets last night in Jacksonville.
Boys Elite Varsity Race

The boy’s elite varsity race was a battle from gun to tape between Creekside, and Trinity Prep. Defending 2A State Champions, Trinity Prep, came into the race as the heavy favorites. Creekside, coming off a convincing victory at the 110% Invitational last weekend, was looking to show everyone that they belong in the discussion as a top team. Creekside put their top 3 runners in the top 10, and top 5 in the top 20, to just edge out a strong Trinity Prep team 49-56. On the individual side Kurt Convey of Coral Reef showed why...
