The dust has settled, both literally and figuratively, on the 2014 Cheyenne Mountain Stampede. But, what did we learn from it all?
We learned, if we were paying attention, much about the new order of things. Let's take that list of things about the new order of things in event order.
2A Girls
Telluride has awoken from their two-year nap. Team shirts were emblazoned on the back, "It's a hill. Get over it." And that was exactly what they did, even though Miners are historically much better known for digging under hills than going over. Freshman Soleil Gaylord appears to be the new face of the front for Telluride, but the Miners seem to be absolutely oozing in depth. For now, Anna Fake and Esme Fahnestock seem to have the other scoring positions nailed down. In any case, I think I have the new #1 team for 2A nailed down for my next coaches poll ball...
