Luke Wagner of St. Ignatius en route to winning the OHSAA Early Season Invitational in Hebron, Ohio in a time of 15:47.18 to barely edge out Mason's Nick Grismer (2nd, 15:47.19) in a near dead heat in a preview race on the Ohio State State Meet course. The individual battle between Wagner and Grismer was also a representation of the final team standings with St. Ignatius claiming the first place trophy with 64 points compared to Mason with 71 points as both teams averaged under 16:40 for their top 5's to start out the season on the National Trail Raceway course.
