Is Salida the new 3A dynasty or is there a team lurking in the shadows that can topple the Spartans? Who will fill the void left by the graduation of Eva-Lou Edwards and the departure of Tabor Scholl to 2A? These are a couple of the big questions facing this classification for this fall.

Top Meets

Absent from the list of 3A schools pointing toward the Cheyenne Mountain Stampede are Salida and Kent Denver. And that takes a little luster off of the showdown, but Moffat County, Colorado Academy, and Peak to Peak are each on the list of teams coming. So, we should get a good early look at each of those teams. Good 3A convergences during the invitational season are sometimes difficult to come by, but St. Vrain and Dave Sanders are good places to look. Even league meets are of limited value due to the general spread of top teams across the state...
