If you likes stories with lots of characters and even more intrigue, you're going to love 3A Region 2 boys.
Last year, the region belonged to Lamar. The Savages came heartbreakingly close to their first state cross country title, but it was an outstanding season by any measure. Lamar hasn't exactly dropped off the radar screen. Lamar brings back four sub-18s in Zach Watson, Jake Rogers, Matthew Hartshorn, and Kaleb Crum. And Josh Davis's younger brother Blake moves up to high school this year. It's still a very good team.
As good as Lamar is, however, they're a long way from having this sewn up. In fact, they may not even be the regional favorites. Two other strong candidates would be Alamosa and newly-moved-up-from-2A Vanguard.
