2013 Foot Locker Nationals champion Grant Fisher is back to defend his title, but ill likely get a late start to this season after racing until end of July for the World Junior Championships in the 1500 meter run. As a junior, Fisher won the Foot Locker Midwest Regional in his 15:02 5K PR last fall before taking the win at Balboa Park for the national title in 15:06. His track season could not have have gone any better with another national title indoors in the New Balance Nationals mile and a spring season with included signature wins in the adidas Dream Mile (4:02.02 PR) and Brooks PR Invitational two mile (8:51.28 PR) before qualifying for World Juniors in the 1500 at the US Junior Nationals. Iowa state 3200 meter record holder Thomas Pollard (8:50) is also a returning Foot Locker All-American from the Midwest Region, while 2013 Foot Locker finalist Jesse Reiser is one of two sub 9 minute two milers from the state of Illinois back for the 2014 XC season.
