Last year, Holy Family took top honors for this region at state. But Holy Family has now been promoted to 4A, leaving Kent Denver's sixth-place finish at state as the top finish of the region's returning teams. Peak to Peak returns second honors for the region at ninth place. Kent's state team returns intact, while Peak to Peak absorbs a bump from graduation.
"Aha," you say, "but what about Peak to Peak's middle school team? Isn't the team that dominated middle school state last year about due to become the scourge of 3A?"
