<span style="font-size: 14px;">The first ever MileSplit All-American Teams for this past 2014 outdoor track & field season are being released this week. The selection process included taking into consideration multiple factors but not limited to: season best performances and national rankings, consistency and body of work, finishes in major championship and post-season meets as well as a head-to-head results against other top national ranked competition in their event were all used to determine the top 8 individuals and relays to make up our All-American squads.</span></p>
Ariana Washington of Long Beach Poly finished up one of the more decorated high school careers in CIF Finals history adding 2 more state individual titles this spring with simply sizzing times at the California State Meet. With wind legal clockings of 11.22 in the 100 and 22.96 in the 200, the University of Oregon recruit Washington became a six-time California state champion with 3 titles each from the 100 and 200. Washington also joined a short list of past great sprinters in US high school history to dip under 23 seconds in the 200 meter dash. She represents the United States next week in the World Junior Championships in the 100 meter dash and should also be featured in relay action. (Photo by Kirby Lee/Image of Sport)
