When you're the returning state champion and you didn't graduate a soul off your state championship team, expectations can be a little high coming into the next season. And so it is with Salida.
If you look at the track season just completed, it would appear that sophomore-to-be Taryn Ceglowski has moved to the front of the team and may end up as the next big thing in 3A girls cross country, but--at some level--it may not matter all that much. Salida has all sorts of weapons in the arsenal, to include Olivia Lowe, Phoebe Powell, Sydney Fesenmeyer, Bari Beasley, Kaitlyn Moltz, and Lauren McDonald. And, with 3A newly moved up to a run 7/score 5 format, they can all toe the same starting line, although we don't want to discount the incoming freshman class too quickly.
