Ariana Washington had an epic end to her California high school career in the CIF Finals on Saturday. The Long Beach Poly senior won the 100 meter dash in a lifetime best wind legal time of 11.22, which now ranks her US #12 all-time in the event, while Washington later in the 200 meter dash finals joined elite company of the sub 23 second club with a wind legal US #14 all-time clocking of 22.96. Both times easily rank as US leaders for 2014 among wind-legal performances. The Long Beach Poly girls also gave their outgoing and retiring head coach Don Norford a nice going away present with another state team title and two US #1's in the 4x100 (45.19) and 4x400 (3:38.05) meter relays.
