Official Results: Blake Haney finished with a time of 4:10.41 at the Prefontaine Classic. We will go through all our contest predictions and announce the winner by Sunday morning!
Blake Haney will attempt to become the sixth high school boys distance runner to ever break 4 minutes in the mile in United States history on Saturday when he races in the international mile field against professional runners at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon. No matter whether Haney runs sub 4 or not, you can still win regardless of the outcome. Be the person that takes the best and closest guess to his actual time in the race on Saturday on our twitter contest by following us @milesplit and tweeting at us using the hashtag #HaneyAtPre with your time prediction (to the hundredth of a second please!).
The winner of the Blake Haney time prediction contest for the Prefontaine Classic will be given free MileSplit Insider account access (get to see all the rankings, stats, videos, photos, and articles on MileSplit) through the rest of 2014! Haney's race starts at 12:33 PM PST and should be able to the Prefontaine Classic either online through the meet's live stream or on the NBC television broadcast. No time predictions will be accepted for the contest if not tweeted at us by noon for you West Coasters or 3 PM for you East Coasters.
See the many time predictions tweeted at us below just from Friday night alone! Let's hope Haney becomes the 6th sub 4 prep or at least valiant assault on the four minute barrier!
