Kenny Selmon, a World Youth Championships finalist last summer in the 400 meter hurdles, opened his outdoor season with his first 400 meter hurdles race of the spring at the Beach Run Invitational in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with a US #1 53.82 clocking for the Pace Academy (GA) senior. Selmon had already run PR's in the open 400 (48.59) and 300 meter hurdles (37.59) in March and is looking to build towards a strong finish in April and May.
