Christian Alvarado of Fairfield Prep (CT) was knocking on the door of a sub 9 minute time in the two mile in his win at the New England Championships two weeks ago in Boston. With an even stronger field at the indoor nationals including 9 of the top 15 fastest nationally at the two mile/3200 distance this winter, Alvarado is looking to break that door down with his first sub 9 performance along with earning a national championship ring at two miles.
