The Bolles Lady Bulldogs won the 2A Cross Country finals and are hoping their strong distance squad can power them to a state track and field championship. Luckily for the program, it will be a down year for American Heritage who has hoisted the trophy the last four years. Heritage will be out with studs Diamond Spaulding and Daesha Rogers who transferred to St. Thomas Aquinas and Miami Jackson respectively. Bolles who will have the travel advantage, staying in Jacksonville for the meet, finished seventh last year. SprinterJasmine Burkett transferred from Raines to Bolles for her senior year and will give the Bulldogs even more firepower.The last time a Jacksonville area team has won the meet; the 2009 ladies from Jacksonville Raines. Don't count out Godby who could close the gap and spoil the party with Caitlin Wilson who is a quadruple threat in the sprints and in the jumps!
