With a little time to get things updated over the holidays here, we have the cross country teams for each school assigned to the classifications they will be in for 2014. Here's a quick look at what each classification looks like based on returning runners:

5A Girls

If you liked Fort Collins, Monarch, and Cherry Creek at the top in 2013, get adjusted to more of the same for 2014. It's worth noting, however, that the hunt pack may start 2014 out a little closer to the big three than they did in 2013. This is close enough that one or two incoming freshmen could easily tip the balance here.

And, whether in 5A or any other classification, never count out a team that is well-coached and perennially close to the top.
