2023 Notable XC Finishes: 6th at the Roy Griak Invitational, 1st at the WIAA State XC Championships, 2nd at the NXR Heartland Regional and 5th at Nike Cross Nationals.
Analysis: It has already been a hot start to the 2024 cross-country season for Putz, running a time of 14:50.30 at the Gale Johnson. the #4 5K time nationally this season. Putz had a standout 2023 season, finishing 6th at the Roy Griak Invitational and claiming his second WIAA State Cross Country Championship. He then secured 2nd place at the NXR Heartland Regional and finished 5th at Nike Cross Nationals, making him the top returner for NXN in 2024.
Putz carried all his momentum from cross country into the spring track and field season, winning both the 1600m and 3200m Wisconsin state titles, and notching new PRs in both events with times of 4:12.03 and 9:03.34.
