The now senior, took home major wins last fall for the 3-mile at the Jackie Henderson Memorial (14:46), SCCAL Championships (14:34); and in the 5K at the CIF CCS XC Championships with a time of 14:55.10. Finishing off his season, Fitchen-Young competed at the CIF State Cross Country Championships where he finished 4th with a time of 14:49.50 for the 5K and 19th at Nike Cross nationals with a time of 15:33.60.
In the spring, he set personal bests in every event he competed in with new PRs of 1:56.42 for the 800m, 4:11.16 for the 1600m and 8:57.13 for the 3200m.
