Mark: 5,847 Points Where: Pan American U20 Championships Record-Holder: Anna Hall, Valor Christian (CO), 2019 |
Anna Hall was on another level in 2019.
As a senior that same year, the Valor Christian (CO) graduate scored 5,847 points to set an incredible national record at the Pan American U20 Championships.
But that effort was no outlier. In June she scored 5,646. A year prior, as a junior, she had performances of 5,798, 5,665 and 5,660.
Narrowing her focus and finding her rhythm, Hall was able to leave her high school career with a record that is still over 200 points better than the next athlete (Kendell Williams' 5,578 from 2012).
For perspective, Ariel Pedigo, a prep out of Louisiana who graduated from Parkview Baptist two years ago, scored 5,493 points in 2021. A high school sophomore out of Washington, JaiCieonna Gero-Holt, could offer a challenge to this in two years.
