Analysis: As a junior, Riggs set a new personal best of 17:17 for 5K at the Great American XC Festival where she finished fourth overall.
She continued to excel during the cross country season as she earned another WVSSAC State Cross Country Championships title for the second year in a row. She then finished 14th at the Eastbay Cross Country Championships.
In her first ever indoor season, she faced national competition at the New Balance Nationals Indoor where she ran a 4:48.95 in the mile to finish in eighth.
During the spring, Riggs ran multiple races from the 800m to the two-mile. She became the state champion in the 800m, 1600m, and 3200m.
One of her standout performances this year was at the Brooks PR Invitational where she ran the second-fastest all-time performance in the two-mile with a 9:50.72.
