In the past few years, the pole vault competition has raised the bar.
Veronica Vacca had a stellar performance at the DVGTCA Meet of Champions as she set a personal best en route to a new national high school freshman record in the pole vault.
She cleared 13-2 and improved on the national record by half an inch which stood for two years.
Vacca earned about 42-percent of the votes over the last week. A huge congratulations goes out to Vacca for breaking the freshman record and setting a new lifetime best.
