UIL State Cross Country Championship
5A Boys Race
Aledo's Graydon Morris took the win in one of the most anticipated races of the weekend. There was a strong mix of guys through two miles, but it wasn't soon after when Morris started to drop the hammer. In the end, last year's Foot Locker Nationals runner-up took home his second straight win in 15:03.98, though it was the sixth-fastest time of the day.
5A Girls Race
The 5A girls race saw McKinney North's London Culbreath take home her third Class 5A cross country state title. The junior ran 16:58.52 to take the win.
6A Boys Race
Flower Mound's (TX) Alex Maier took home his first ever cross country state title on Saturday in Round Rock, Texas. Maier ran the fastest time of the day as he crossed the finish line in 14:34.92. The guys from The Woodlands took home the team title scoring 99 points.
