At the 2017 AAU Junior Olympic Games in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Krianne McBride of Elgin, Texas, and Texas Thunder Track and Field set the AAU girls 12-year-old 3K national record. McBride ran 10:11.30 to earn the record and take the win. She was also the runner-up in the 1500m running 4:44.32 and third-place finisher in the 800m running 2:20.63.
This year McBride will be chasing after more national records in the 13-year-old girls division. You can watch her compete live on FloTrack at the AAU Region 19 Qualifier meet this weekend and at the 2018 AAU Junior Olympic Games July 27-August 4.
