Top Five Events To Watch At The Jesuit-Sheaner Relays

The Relays... ALL Of Them

DeSoto throwing down a 3:11.53 at the Lancaster Meet of Champions.

Who: Lancaster, Waxahachie, DeSoto, Mesquite Horn
When: All relay finals will be on Saturday
4x100m -- 2:30 PM (CDT)
4x200m -- 3:40 PM (CDT)
4x400m -- 5 PM (CDT)
Why: These are some of the best teams in the entire country throwing down in the relays. If you want to watch some speed, then you came to the right place. Just last weekend, DeSoto went down to Houston to race some of H-Town's best, which resulted in a new U.S. No. 2 mark of 1:25.68 in the 4x200m relay. They will see a challenge from Mansfield Legacy, which also has a solid 4x200m time of 1:27.32 already this year.

In the boys 5A 4x100m relay, we're going to see a close battle between Waxahachie and Lancaster. Both teams have crazy speed and a history of running well in the 4x100 relay. Lancaster is currently ranked U.S. No. 8 in the 4x100m relay, while Waxahachie is ranked U.S. No. 21. Both teams have run sub-42 seconds already this year. The 6A boys 4x100m relay should be all DeSoto. It has the fastest seed time with its 40.86 from the Lancaster Meet of Champions. Speaking of DeSoto, it owns the fastest 4x400m relay ever ran before April 1, dropping a 3:11.53 to win the Lancaster Meet of Champions.

In the girls 4x100m relay, you have the U.S. No. 1 team from Mesquite Horn. These ladies can move! They dropped a U.S. No. 1 time of 45.71 back in the beginning of March at the DeSoto Nike Invitational. But we can't forget about the ladies from DeSoto. They've run 45.96 already this year and are looking to come back hungry to beat Mesquite Horn. Cedar Hill and Mansfield Lake Ridge will also look to throw down something fast. This is just a sneak peak of all the action the sprints are going to hold -- be sure to tune in Saturday for some epic races.
