2. Chad Zallow (OH) - Boys 110m Hurdles Champion
The highly anticipated rematch between Chad Zallow and Grant Holloway in the hurdles never materialized as the indoor national 60 meter hurdles champ Holloway from Virginia false started in the finals. With his top competition out of the race, Zallow could have possibly eased up a bit in how he attacked the hurdles in the finals.
There was none of that as he rolled through all 10 sets with a strong wind at his back to run one of the fastest 110 meter hurdles times in U.S. high school history for all-conditions at 13.19. Only national record holder Wayne Davis at 13.09 from 2009 and other wind-aided performances in Brendan Ames at 13.15 from 2007 and Arthur Blake at 13.18 from 1984 have ever run faster than the Ohio state champion Zallow.
