2/21 Weekend National Rundown

Rhode Island State Indoor Championships (RI)

La Salle (RI) relay star and New Balance Indoor Grand Prix Junior Mile runner-up Jack Salisbury successfully defended his state titles in the 1,500m and 1k, clocking US #1 4:05.35 and 2:39.27.

Another runner pulling double duty was Eliza Rego, also of La Salle, who won both the 1k (2:54.76) and 1,500m (4:42.06). Rego currently tops the national leaderboard in the 1,500m with a season-best time of 4:34.30.

Barrington teammates Adam Kelly and Bobby Colantonio have ruled the national leaderboard in the Weight Throw all season and both showed up in full force for Saturday's championship. Kelly defended his title with an 81-3 throw, while Colantonio improved his season-best to US #2 79-9. Kelly threw in (literally!) a 54-5.25 win in the Shot Put for good measure.
