This year will be quite the year for Virginia up in Philadelphia. We have tons of talented teams making the trip up there and many in search of a Wagon Wheel Trophy. Though many are expected to make some waves both in the state and national leaderboards, here are the real big contenders who will be fighting for titles this weekend.
Each year we like to share our selections for each race and who we believe or secretly hope will win the title in each one. We will select all the high school relays and a select few high school individual events!

All and all Friday was another very successful day for Virginia and brings Virginia's total wins to three championships (Girls DMR, Girls 3K, Boys Mile) and a very impressive record of having the fastest American team finish in 3/5 COA races.
After three long days in Philly, Virginia can now confidently say they made serious history up at the 121st Penn Relays Carnival. In total we walked away with one relay title (Patriot Girls DMR) and two individual titles (Andrew Hunter-Mile, Kate Murphy-3000) and numerous top five finishes.
