Analysis: The Flower Mound girls made it a four-peat last season, winning their fourth straight UIL State Championship. At that meet, they scored a dominant 41 points, beating the runner-up by 36 points. From there, the Flower Mound girls went on to notch another dominant victory at the NXR South Regional, winning by 38 points over the Carroll High School girls. At Nike Cross Nationals, they finished 17th overall out of 22 teams.
They return only three of their top seven runners from last season but will use their impressive depth to field a top-five average time of 18:33.02 going into the season, a mark which ranks 26th overall this preseason. They will be anchored by Alexandra Fox who holds a 5K PR of 17:22 and is the #3 ranked returner in all of Texas.
