Analysis: The Bethlehem girls will look to qualify for Nike Cross Nationals for the third year in a row and for just the third time ever for this upstart New York program. Last year, the Bethlehem girls finished 2nd at the Nike New York Regional, only behind Saratoga Springs. They then went on to finish 11th at Nike Cross Nationals, a huge improvement over their 17th-place finish from 2022.
This is a group of girls that return four runners from that 2022 squad and six runners from last year's 11th-place squad. With the amount of talent returning and an 18:23.14 average time coming into the season, the Bethlehem girls should be a main contender for the Nike New York Regional and another big jump in the team standings at NXN.
