2023 Notable XC Finishes: 2nd at the Bob Firman Invitational, 3rd at the ASICS Clovis XC Invitational, 1st at the CIF State XC Championship, and 45th at Nike Cross Nationals

Analysis: Evan Noonan had an exceptional 2023 cross-country season, cementing his place as one of the top runners in California and beyond. The then-junior broke the tape at the Division 3 State Championships with a personal-best time of 14:35.3, leading the Dolphins to the team title. He also claimed victory at the Woodbridge Classic and was the only runner nationally to break 14 minutes for three miles on four occasions.

Noonan's season included a second-place finish at the Bob Firman Invitational, where he narrowly missed out on the win to the eventual national champion. He compiled one of the strongest race records in Division 3 history, setting a divisional course record and excelling in the nation's largest meet. Noonan finished his season at Nike Cross Nationals, where he placed 45th overall.

Noonan raised the bar even higher for himself after a strong track and field season which saw him run 8:43.12 for the 3200m to win the CIF State title, finish 6th in the mile at the Brooks PR Invitational, and win the 2-mile national title at Nike Outdoor Nationals.
