Analysis: TJ Hansen had an outstanding 2023 cross-country season, firmly establishing himself as one of the nation's top runners going into his senior season. Hansen showcased his prowess early by winning his first seven races of the season, culminating in a new 5K personal best of 14:46.30 at the Shepherd BLUEJAY Invite. He continued his dominance by winning six more races before nationals, including the MHSAA LP Division 2 State Finals with an all-divisions best time of 14:52.80.
Hansen's impressive season also saw him finish 4th at the NXR Midwest Regional, earning First Team All-Region honors.
