2023 Notable XC Finishes: 1st at the Shepherd BLUEJAY Invitational, 1st at the MHSAA LP Division 2 Finals, 4th at the NXR Midwest Regional, and 10th at Nike Cross Nationals. 

Analysis: TJ Hansen had an outstanding 2023 cross-country season, firmly establishing himself as one of the nation's top runners going into his senior season. Hansen showcased his prowess early by winning his first seven races of the season, culminating in a new 5K personal best of 14:46.30 at the Shepherd BLUEJAY Invite. He continued his dominance by winning six more races before nationals, including the MHSAA LP Division 2 State Finals with an all-divisions best time of 14:52.80.

Hansen's impressive season also saw him finish 4th at the NXR Midwest Regional, earning First Team All-Region honors. He capped his year with a top 10 finish at the Nike Cross Nationals Final, securing Second Team All-America honors. Throughout 2023, Hansen toed the line 16 times and won 13 races, a testament to his exceptional talent and consistency. 

Hansen was equally impressive during the track season, finishing 2nd in the indoor mile at the Millrose Games with a time of 4:05.87, winning the MITCA D2 State title in the 800m (1:54.27), and finishing 4th at the Brooks PR Invitational in the mile with a time of 4:04.28.
