Year: Junior, Class of 2020

School: Northern (PA)

Analysis: Starliper had one of the truly memorable seasons of 2017, breaking through as a sophomore to become one of the nation's top runners. And there's no doubt the Pennsylvanian wants to continue in that theme. A year ago, Starliper ran the fifth-fastest time nationally in 16:50.00, setting that mark--and the course record--at the Carlisle Invitational. It was only one of the big highlights of the then-sophomore's season, though, as she won the District 3 championships, Pennsylvania's Class 2A state title (17:50) and the Foot Locker Northeast Region (17:47.50) to qualify for Foot Locker Nationals. 

Starliper scored a 13th-place finish at Foot Locker, earned a state title in the 3200m the following spring and earned a career best time of 16:39.68 on the track in the 5K. Expectations remain much higher for Starliper in 2018.
