We're winding down to the last few weeks of the spring track and field season.
So almost all of our performers of the week are competing for state titles across their state seasons.
Culminating this past week's voting, Sandburg (IL) senior Dylan Jacobs edged out a close poll by winning National Performer of the Week with 25-percent of the vote after a gutsy finish at the Class 3A IHSA Championships, where he won the 1600m in 4:11.60.
Jacobs, this past fall's Foot Locker Nationals winner, was one of the top distance runners in the country in 2018.
So big congrats goes out to Dylan.
Let's check in on this week's nominees.
