After a dominating, US No. 1 performance on May 4 in the boys mile, Lakota East (OH) senior Dustin Horter snagged National Performer of the Week honors this past week.
His country leading 4:04.82 still stands nearly four seconds faster than the next closest competitor nationally.
Horter, an Indiana University signee, garnered 34-percent of the vote to kick past Anthony Schwartz, who won three state titles in Florida, including an impressive all conditions 10.07 (+2.5) in the 100m.
Congrats goes out to Dustin, who's preparing for Ohio's state championships in a few weeks.
