Team: Pine Crest School, FL
Analysis: Considered the best returning girls team in the state, Pine Crest has super freshman Tsion Yared, who ran a season PB of 17:42.40 in 2016, and eighth-grader Mahdere Yared -- also Tsion's younger sister -- along with a superbly consistent team of Maya Beleznay, Emily Faulhaber and Amanda Schwartz. The team average was 18:41 a year ago, and was the fastest team across the state in all classifications. Pine Crest won the Class 2A championship in 2016 and was fifth at NXN Southeast.
