Analysis: While Carmel graduates a few of its core scorers, it retains rising senior Maddie Dalton, who was third at the IHSAA Championships, and sophomore Phoebe Bates, who was sixth at state. Those two should help reload one of the state's perennial powerhouses for another possible state title and potential bid to NXN. Carmel was fourth at NXN a year ago and won the NXN Midwest Region.
