Florida sprinter Twanisha Terry (far right) signed with USC this week, as did Lauren Rain Williams, Chanel Brissett and Kaelin Roberts. The quartet is pictured on their official visit.
It's a good week for the Trojans. Just a day after 100m hurdles national champion Chanel Brissett signed her national letter of intent, USC picked up two more big-time recruits: California state champions Lauren Rain Williams and Kaelin Roberts.
Rain Williams chose the Trojans over Oklahoma, Oregon and Texas A&M. The senior from Oaks Christian High School is a two-time New Balance Nationals Indoor champion at 200m and won the 200m silver medal at the IAAF World Youth (U-18) Championships in 2015. She is the national junior class record holder in the indoor 200m (23.23) and ranks No. 6 all-time outdoors (22.8) and No. 3 all-conditions all-time (22.44).
Watch Rain Williams win the CIF State Finals 100m:
Roberts is the No. 3 ranked 400m recruit in the Class of 2017 with her PR of 52.28 and No. 5 recruit in the 200m (23.4 +2.9). She is the two-time defending California state champion for 400m and was runner-up in the 200m this past season.
