Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson was in Houston last week to support his daughter running in the AAU Junior Olympics. His daughter runs for the MGX Track Club, which also happens to be the same club as star freshman Tyrese Cooper. The nation's fastest 400m runner and freshman national record holder hit the street to go head to head in a "light pole to light pole" race. Watch the result below.
For Tyrese Cooper, even with all the records he set at the AAU Junior Olympics, this may be his biggest result from the past week. A lot of athletes will run fast, but not many can say they beat Chad Johnson in a race.
This wasn't the first time Tyrese Cooper has raced against a pro athlete. In April, he stepped up to the big leagues and raced unattached to win the FSU Seminole Invitational 200m against a collegiate and pro field.
