No surprise to see which athlete would cross the line first and post the fastest overall time of the day. Sand Springs junior Cheyenne Walden earns her 3rd state championship in 17:57. Only one other athlete would break 19 minutes, and Walden continues to assert her dominance in Oklahoma XC. In the team scores, putting 3 athletes in the top-5 just about assures you a first place finish. That's exactly what Bartlesville did to come away on top with 45 points.

The Jenks boys have been a force in Oklahoma XC for years. While there are some other solid programs in the state, they have proven to be the team to beat in 2015. They put three athletes in the Top-10, and Matt Young finished 2nd in an epic finish by just .2s! He was followed in 3rd place by teammate Alex Jones. The Jenks squad pulled off their 4th consecutive state championship by scoring 41 points. He had competed in 3 past OK State Champs, but finished no better than 9th. In his final opportunity, Norman North senior Ean Beyer came away with the state title in a full 5000m battle with Young.
