During his High School career, Emmanuel Jackson qualified for the NCHSAA 4A State Championship 8 times. In 2014 at this meet, he placed 2nd in both the 55m Hurdles(7.48) and the the 110m Hurdles(14.15). In 2015 at this meet, he was able to capture the gold in the 110m hurdles (13.70). On the National level, Emmanuel is the 2014 runner-up at the New Balance Outdoor National meet in the 110m Hurdles( 14.34), and a 2015 Brooks PR qualifier in the 110m Hurdles.

Running a 110m hurdle race in a hoodie and sweats in 30 degree weather

Winning 2015 States
If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?
Definitely stretch a lot more
What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
Missing freshman and indoor sophomore year because of injury
What will you miss the most?
Track team being like family.
What advice you would give to younger athletes?
What you do now will benefit you in the future, don't lose sight of the main goal
What influence has your coach had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?
Helped me discover a hidden talent and alter my life goals for the better

Going to the University of Virginia to run track
