5. Willie Morrison (KS) - Boys Shot Put Champion
Willie Morrison definitely wanted that second national title in the shot put, but he probably wanted that 70 foot mark more. The Leavenworth (KS) senior Morrison got both goals accomplished in Greensboro as he followed his New Balance Nationals indoor title in March with another title outdoors in June throwing for a new lifetime best of 70'2".
His monster throw has him join only California state champ and US #10 all-time performer Matt Katnik (72'5") as the only two throwers to go over 70 feet in the shot put this spring in the nation.
