Girls Highlights:
- Kate Hall of Lake Region competed in her final New England Championships to great acclaim, capturing two titles, two Meet Records and three personal best marks! Her most impressive event was the long jump - in which she tied the US #1 with 20-11, though no wind information was provided. She won the 100m in Meet Record time of 11.41 - no wind information was provided, so that ties for All-Conditions U.S. No. 6! - ahead of Hope senior Quashira McIntosh (11.63). The duo met again in the record-breaking 200m, though this time it was McIntosh who set the standard in 23.64 ahead of Hall's 23.69.
- McIntosh led her 4x400m relay team to top honors in 3:53.41.
- Tolland High School of Connecticut set the Stadium record and broke into the national top 20 rankings with a 9:06.75 win in the 4x800m relay to win by more than 10 seconds.
- Danae Rivers continues to look unstoppable in the 800m, as she broke another record - this time the New England Championships record - in 2:05.86. That time ranks U.S. No. 5, as she beat All-American Hannah Parker to the line (US #8 2:06.92).
- Junior Maegan Doody of Oyster River, N.H. clocked her second consecutive 4:49 race for 1600m, winning the event in a new Stadium Record. The victory marked her second career New Englands title, as she won the 800m last year in 2:10.8.
- Hannah DeBalsi of Staples ran just off her season-best in winning the 3200m in 10:35.03 just a few days after winning the Connecticut state title. The junior set the Meet Record of 10:10.26 in 2013 as a freshman.
Daniel Guiliani of South Portland, ME broke the New England Championships Meet Record in the shot put, throwing for 64-2.25. His season-best mark of 66-5 ranks U.S. No. 4 this year.
Boys Highlights:
- US #4 ranked Daniel Guiliani of South Portland, ME broke the Meet Record in the Shot Put, crushing a 64-2.25 throw to win by 10 feet. The junior's best this season is 66-5.
- Sophomores were the stars of the day in sprint action, as Rodney Agyare-May of Burncoat (MA) won the 400m in 48.85 and Mark Doyley of Weaver (CT) won the 200m in a Stadium Record of 21.16. Isaiah Harris of Lewiston returned from a fourth place (21.82) finish in that race to cruise to a new Stadium Record win of 1:52.74 in the 800m.
- The Danbury (CT) quartet of Jake Roberts, Terrell Cunningham, Julio Arredondo and Corey Mullins broke the Stadium Record in the 4x800m, leading the top five teams under eight minutes with a 7:47.99.
