Trevor Reinhart (Marin Academy, CA) burst onto the national scene his junior year when he placed 12th at the Foot Locker Cross Country National Championship. Up to that point, Reinhart's track experience was limited to one season as a seventh grader when he competed for his high school in Paris, France. During the spring season of his freshman and sophomore years, he played lacrosse for his current high school, Marin Academy.
That spring, Reinhart decided to run track. He ran in only one meet before suffering from a IT band injury that took him out for the rest of the spring season.
This past fall, the Yale University commit (he will run all three seasons in college) placed seventh at Foot Locker to garner his second All-American status and marked himself as one of the finest fall runners in the nation.
Watch the video above to hear from Reinhart as to why one of America's fastest prep cross country runners has opted to yet again hit the turf to play lacrosse instead of seeing where his untapped talent can take him on the track.
